The Mirror
A Twelve Week Behavioral Reconstruction
The Mirror is a private 12-week behavioral reconstruction designed to make the unseen structure of your life visible and undeniable. Through guided reflection, behavioral observation, and daily interruption practices, you confront the patterns, negotiations, and unconscious agreements shaping your decisions — until continuing them becomes increasingly difficult to justify.

Week 0 - The Threshold
This week, we begin where any honest reckoning begins. With the truth about where you actually are.
You already have a story about why your life is the way it is. The work is to find the place where what you say you want and what your behavior actually produces have come apart.
That place has a name in this work. We call it the gap.
The gap is not an information problem. You already know what to do. The work this week is to stop performing the knowing and start naming the gap with precision.

Week 2 - The Pattern Beneath the Pattern
You came in with a presenting problem. The story you tell about what is wrong. The behavior you keep apologizing for.
This week reveals that the presenting problem is a symptom. Underneath it is a pattern. The same behavior shows up across multiple domains of your life. When you see it everywhere, the weight of it lands differently.
This week is about finding the pattern beneath the pattern, and naming it with precision.

Week 3 - The Origin
Every pattern was once a solution. It made sense to someone, at some point, in some context.
That someone was you, younger, doing the best you could with what was available.
This week we locate the moment the strategy was born. Not to dwell in it. To separate what
happened from what you decided about yourself because of what happened.

Week 4 - The Payoff
This is the most uncomfortable week of the program so far.
Every pattern that survives into adulthood is still working. It is producing something you want, or shielding you from something you do not want to feel. That is the payoff.
You do not experience the payoff as a choice. It feels like reality. This week makes the choice visible.
Until you see what you are getting from staying inside the pattern, you cannot give it up.

Week 5 - The Body Speaks
Phase 2 begins now. The cognitive map of the pattern is complete. That map, by itself, will not change anything.
The reason is simple. The body activates before the mind decides. The tightening in the chest happens before the avoidance. The shutdown happens before the rationalization. By the time you are thinking about the pattern, you are already inside it.
This week, the work moves from your head into your body. You learn to catch the pattern at the level where it actually begins.

Week 6 - The Reckoning
Incompletions are not neutral. They actively fund the pattern.
The unexpressed grief shows up as numbness. The conversation never had with your father shows up in every authority figure. The boundary never drawn shows up as compensatory control elsewhere.
This week is about completion. Not confrontation in real life. Not contacting anyone. Completion as an internal act. Acknowledging what is true. Releasing what is no longer yours to carry.

Week 7 - The Confrontation
By now you have an intellectual map of the pattern. You have its origin. You have done completion work. And yet, you will still slip back into it. You will still use the language of growth to avoid the experience of growth.
This week is the most direct of the program. You name the pattern in real time, as it is happening, with no buffer. And you re-order the internal authority so the pattern can speak without being obeyed.

Week 8 - The Void
The old architecture has been fractured. The new one is not in place. This is the most disorienting week of the program. It is also the most important.
If you are like most people who do this work, your default response to disorientation is to generate activity. More plans. More frameworks. More insight. More strategy.
This week, you do not.

Week 9 - The Declaration
Phase 3 begins. The work changes again.
Up to now, you have been excavating. Naming the gap. Tracing the pattern. Sitting in the void.
From here, the work is building.
This week, you make a Declaration. Not an affirmation. Not a hope. Not a goal. A Declaration is a statement of what is now true, claimed from the work you have done, grounded in eight weeks of evidence.

Week 10 - The Practice
A Declaration without behavior is theater.
This week is the most operational of the program. You design the specific daily and weekly behaviors that express the Declaration in your actual life. Not intentions. Not reframes. Behaviors.

Week 11 - The Stress Test
This is the week that separates real transformation from performed transformation.
You have a Declaration. You have a Practice. You have a week of data. Now you introduce pressure. You go toward the situation that historically would have activated the pattern. You run the new response in real time, with no rehearsal.
If the new behavior holds under pressure, it will hold in your life. If it does not, there is still time to close the gap before Week 12. This is what the stress test is for.

Week 12 - The Closing
Twelve weeks ago, you named the gap.
This week is not a celebration. It is a completion. The distinction matters.
Celebration is about feeling good.
Completion is about acknowledging what is real, what has changed, and what is now your permanent responsibility.

What Remains
The twelve weeks are complete. What you saw, you cannot unsee. The pattern has a name. The body’s signal has a location. The contract has been read aloud. The pattern will get triggered. This is not a failure of the work. The work was never to eliminate the trigger. The work was to install the capacity to recognize it before it decides for you.
